After receiving recognition from Mike D of Beastie Boys via this remix, Lykke Li gets her newest single remixed again, this time by the one and only Beck. While keeping the tribal feeling of the original track, Beck gets funky with this one, using thumping percussions and even pitch-shifts on the Swedish diva’s vocals. Enjoy!

Maestro Hansen ran with the ball in a completely different direction than we expected on this latest cover of the INXS oeuvre. We figured he’d make “Never Tear Us Apart” heavy and dirty with a thick bass line and angry guitars but instead he used Annie Clark’s (St. Vincent) delicate cadence and violins en vez de lead guitar. As per usual, this cover is as enjoyable as the original with just enough tweaks to make it sound novel while always showing reverence to the originating artists. Enjoy!

Charlotte Gainsbourg plays a convincing if not pretty puppet to Beck’s ventriloquist on their collaboration album IRM. Beck penned the record and Ms. Gainsbourg adds her vocal stylings to the setup which has seemingly worked out well for everyone involved (we like). This latest video is a scenic romp through what looks to be Big Sur with some fantastical footwork thanks to some clever CGI efforts. Enjoy!
