Last night I went to the dress rehearsal for this show and may I say what a treat! Sonic Youth, Justin Bond, Scissor Sisters, and Klaus Voorman joined Sean and Yoko on stage performing renditions of Loco Yoko’s work. The line-up is even more impressive tonight! The highlight of the evening pour moi was Sean’s rebel rousing rendition of The Beatles’ (let’s face it.. his father’s) “Yer Blues.” Who knew Sean was such a Jimi on the guitar. The boy has skills! The concert (read: love-in) ended with the audience on their feet, peace signs blazing on both hands whilst singing and swaying in unison to “Give Peace a Chance.” Tickets are sold out but if you can snag a ticket on Craig’s List it is sure to be well worth it.
