Methinks Electric Literature is the most proactive endeavor taken by any entity within the realm of publishing. Translated into hepcat speak: they bring the cool and they bring it via technology. The cool being 5 short stories delivered quarterly that you can procure in the form of an ebook, a kindle/iphone friendly download, or for all those luddites out there, in good old paperback format (or people like me that like to have hardcopies of stuff — what can I say; I’m old fashioned). Oh and they also do this fun little thing of animating one sentence from a selected story. The latest sentence to undergo the EL treatment is Steven O’Connor’s work Love. Books are so over but reading is still very much in (wink). Enjoy.
