Everybody talk about pop music. OK so this skit was marginally funny but all eyes were on Madonna for this one. Madonna pretends to pal around here with the newest pop tart to follow in her foot steps toward pop super-stardom, but really this was all about establishing dominance and a forget-me-not vibe for the fifty-something memaw. I am not a Madonna fanatic by any stretch of the imagination but the woman created the sex charged milieu of bubblegum pop that they both operate in and by doing things like this i.e. butting in on younger rival’s airtime, she stays pertinent by association and in the public consciousness… credit where credit is due. Madame M not only overpowers Gaga with her stage presence but she also physically topples the newcomer not once but twice. Whilst wearing the Christian Louboutin Supra Fifre platform boots she wore in her Celebration video (touché), Madonna easily wrestles Gaga to the ground and later pulls her over the lap of Kenan Thompson with little more effort than passing a plate of macrobiotic gruel with one of her diamond cut biceps. To her credit though, in true butterfaced fashion, Lady Gaga’s body registers as pretty banging too. Butterfaces represent! For your viewing pleasure, watch at your leisure.
